Magna Drive Loader
The Magna Drive Loader from Empire is quite possibly the best hopper ever made. The loader has many new features including a clutch system, RF Compatibility, changeable floor, and many more features and upgrades.
One of the main new features on the Magna drive loader is the all new clutch system. The clutch system was designed to eliminate hopper jams and ball breakage. How it works is instead of forcing the feed paddle to spin by physical contact, The loader simply uses magnets to force the cone to spin and push paintballs into your gun. If pressure get to be too much to handle, the magnets will simply "slip" and while the motor continues to spin, the drive cone doe not. In the magnas predecessor the Halo, the drive cones would simply break from the force of the motor spinning. The magnetic clutch system can be adjusted to different release pressure by adjusting how many magnets are used and where they are placed. You can set the clutch to slip extremely easily for use with fast shooting guns with fragile paint, or you can set te pressure required to slip the clutch to be very high by adding all the magnets.
Another new innovation with the magna drive loader is the RF compatibility with most paintball markers.With the use of the RF Chip (sold separately) you will have the ability to Sync your loader with up to two of your paintball markers. What How RF Technology works is each time you pull the trigger on your gun, the gun sends a small electrical impulse to your solenoid which tells the causes the gun to fire a shot. With the RF chip installed, A pulse is also rerouted to the chip which sends a small radio like signal to the hopper which tells it to feed paint into the marker. The faster you shoot, the faster the hopper will fire. Visit the RF Chip page for more information.
At first glance, you will knotice that unlike the halo which has its feedneck directly in the center of the gun, The Magna drive loaders feed neck is situated slightly forward.The reason behind this is to make the profile of the hopper on your marker as small as possible. One of the most common places to get hit is the front of your hopper. With the new magna drive loader, when you come out of your bunker, your hopper will be back farther decreasing the chances of getting hit in the hopper. Along with the smaller profile, the magna drive features a screw less battery door system. Unlike other hopper, you will no longer need any tools to replace your batteries. You simply slide open the door, change the batteries and slide the door back closed.
The magna drive comes with two separate floors. The first floor is the normal halo style flat floor which holds the normal 200 paintballs. The second is the new high capacity floor which has a small angled down front section to it which will hold and extra 20 paintballs. Why is this important? with the standard floor, you will sometimes be shooting and forget to reload in a critical moment. if a opposing player for example is coming down the line to bunker you and you are out of paint in your hopper, you must quickly reload from a pod to try and defend yourself. With the high capacity floor, in the same scenario, you simple just need to tilt your gun slightly upward which will cause the 20 or so paintballs to fall into your drive cone saving you those few critical seconds. Another great feature to the high capacity floor is you can now load your hopper with a full pod when you still have 60-70 paintballs remaining in the hopper without spilling any paint.
